Stratholme was a major human city. Its destruction is tied to Arthas, the plague and Mal’Ganis.
In Classic, the city is a place of death and conflict with the Scourge. Its streets traverse the aftermath of a decision from Warcraft III, allowing players to walk through an earlier chapter of the story.
