As a Warrior, you stand where the fighting is fiercest. You wear heavy armour, master different weapons and turn blows taken and dealt into Rage. Depending on your talents, you hold enemies back with shield and endurance or break their lines with powerful melee attacks.

What it offers: A choice of weapons, interrupts and control on the front line.
What it asks of you: Manage Rage, choose the right stance and stay within melee reach.

In WoW Forever

Improved Slam lets you use the attack without resetting your melee swing timer. Dual Wield Specialization increases both off-hand damage and the Rage generated by your off-hand attacks.

Paladin

As a Paladin, you combine heavy armour and melee combat with holy magic. You protect allies, heal the wounded or pass judgement on enemies at close range. Seals, blessings and auras make you especially valuable when a group marches into battle together.

What it offers: Blessings, auras and protective spells support the whole group.
What it asks of you: Watch your mana and support abilities even while dealing damage.

In WoW Forever

Holy Strike adds an active Holy attack to your melee toolkit. Judgement no longer consumes your Seal, so using it does not require you to reapply the Seal each time.

Hunter

As a Hunter, you roam the wilds with a tamed beast at your side. Your companion holds enemies or supports you in battle while you attack from range with a bow or gun. Tracking, traps and choosing the right pet make preparation and teamwork the heart of the class.

What it offers: Pets, tracking and traps give you several ways to prepare a fight.
What it asks of you: Manage your position and pet together, avoiding unwanted extra enemies.

In WoW Forever

Lone Wolf offers a talent option for fighting without an active pet. Auto shots can also fire while casting attacks such as Aimed Shot; the brief requirement to stand still before a shot still applies.

Rogue

As a Rogue, you decide when a fight begins. You stalk your target, strike from the shadows and build combo points with quick attacks before spending them on powerful finishers. Poisons, interrupts and control reward patience, precise timing and a reliable escape route.

What it offers: Interrupts, stuns and escape tools for precise control.
What it asks of you: Coordinate Energy, combo points and positioning.

In WoW Forever

Mutilate attacks with both weapons, generates combo points and deals additional damage to poisoned targets. Skyborne can also become Rogues, whichever faction they choose to join.

Priest

As a Priest, you wield the powers of the Light or reach into the Shadow. You keep a group alive through healing, protection and discipline, or wear enemies down with mental and dark magic. Foresight and careful mana management shape every style of play.

What it offers: A varied healing and protection toolkit, with a separate path as a Shadow Priest.
What it asks of you: Keep track of mana, range and the targets that need you most.

In WoW Forever

Divine Aegis makes your non-periodic critical heals also create an absorption shield. Another talent option improves Devouring Plague: when an affected target dies, the effect can spread to nearby enemies for its remaining duration.

Shaman

As a Shaman, you call upon fire, earth, water and air. Totems strengthen your group or shape the battlefield, while your chosen path uses elemental spells, empowered weapons or restorative waves. The class connects the traditions of its people with direct command of the elements.

What it offers: Totems and support spells connect your contribution to the group's.
What it asks of you: Place the right totems and account for their range as the fight moves.

In WoW Forever

Lava Burst deals additional damage when your Flame Shock is already on the target. Riptide combines an immediate heal with healing over time and strengthens Chain Heal when you cast it directly on that target.

Mage

As a Mage, you control the battlefield from range with Arcane, Fire or Frost magic. You deal heavy damage, freeze enemies in place and escape danger through well-timed spells. Portals, teleportation and conjured food give the class a distinctive role beyond combat as well.

What it offers: Crowd control, teleportation and portals, plus conjured food for the group.
What it asks of you: Protect your distance and mana; use defensive spells before danger catches you.

In WoW Forever

Arcane Wrath adds an attack to the Arcane tree that gains additional spell damage based on your maximum Mana. Orcs can also become Mages, while Skyborne have access to the class on the Alliance side.

Warlock

As a Warlock, you wield forbidden shadow and fel magic and bind demons to your will. Curses and damage-over-time spells weaken enemies while your summoned companion performs a distinct role in battle. Soul shards and trading health for power demand preparation and a willingness to take risks.

What it offers: Demons with different jobs and the ability to trade health for mana.
What it asks of you: Manage spell effects, your demon, health and Soul Shards together.

In WoW Forever

Life Tap takes Spirit into account when converting Health into Mana. Trolls gain Warlock as an additional class choice, giving them access to demons, curses and shadow magic.

Druid

As a Druid, you change shape to fill the role your group needs. Animal forms let you fight as a durable protector or swift melee attacker, while your natural form heals or channels nature and lunar magic. This versatility makes adaptation the class's greatest strength.

What it offers: Different forms open up several roles and ways to travel through the world.
What it asks of you: Learn each form's abilities and resources; one build does not fill every role at once.

In WoW Forever

Skyborne on either faction can become Druids and have their own animal forms. Rejuvenation, Tranquility and Wild Growth can critically heal, making critical strikes relevant to these healing spells as well.
