2. Scope of this preview

This public preview contains editorial pages, reference material, a talent calculator and an optional YouTube trailer. It has no user registration, public profiles, uploads or comments.

3. Hosting and server logs

When the website is opened, the hosting provider processes the IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer if transmitted, browser and operating-system information, transferred data volume and status code. Processing is required to deliver the website, maintain stability and investigate attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention depends on what is necessary for technical operation and investigating security incidents. Logs are erased or anonymized once no longer required for those purposes; relevant extracts may be retained until a specific incident is resolved.

4. Local browser storage

The website stores the privacy choice under wowforever_consent_v1 and the selected language under wowforever_language_v1. Talent builds saved by the visitor are stored only on that device under wowforever_talent_builds_v1_*. They contain the chosen build name, talent code and save time and are not transmitted to wowforever.gg. These settings are necessary to provide functions explicitly requested by the visitor and are based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.

5. Contact by email

If you contact us, we process the information you provide to answer the request. Depending on its subject, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Ordinary correspondence is erased when the matter is complete, subject to legal retention duties and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. External links and sources

External links connect to their destination only when followed. The home page offers an optional YouTube player from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Before consent, only a local image is displayed. Clicking “Load trailer with consent” loads youtube-nocookie.com and transmits your IP address, browser information and page origin to Google. Playback may involve device storage and processing in the USA. This is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, independently of Analytics. Close the video to withdraw consent for future connections; this does not reverse earlier processing. We do not save the video permission. 7. Recipients, retention and security

Data is disclosed only to processors required for hosting and security or to authorities where legally required. Personal data is retained only as long as required for its purpose or by law. The website uses encrypted transmission, restrictive server configuration and regular updates.

8. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Changes

This notice will be updated before new processing purposes, providers or optional services are activated.

Protected administration area

Editorial access processes login data, two-factor authentication proofs, session data and security information to prevent abusive logins. The necessary session cookie __Secure-wf_admin is restricted to the admin area. Legal bases are Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (protection of access and the website). Google Analytics is not embedded here.

Google Analytics 4 – only with consent

If analytics is enabled and you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 through the Google tag (gtag.js), provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Its purpose is to evaluate use of our editorial pages to improve content and usability. Without consent, the Google tag is not loaded and no measurement data or consent pings are sent to Google.

Data includes page views, timestamps, cookie identifiers, device and browser information and, where available, the referring origin. Your IP address is technically involved in the connection; Google states that it derives approximate location information and does not log or store the IP address in Analytics. Our integration excludes URL queries, fragments, talent build codes and account IDs. Measurement is disabled on account, character, guild, tavern and admin pages. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied; Google Signals is disabled in the integration.

The legal bases are voluntary consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG for device storage/access. The site works without analytics. Withdraw at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer, effective for the future. Accessible Analytics cookies on this domain are then deleted and the running integration is stopped. Withdrawal does not automatically erase data already lawfully processed.

Google may use _ga and _ga_* cookies. Our configuration limits them to 180 days without rolling renewal. The locally stored consent choice lasts no longer than 180 days; changing the measurement ID requires fresh consent. Before activation, user/event retention must be set to two months without resetting on new activity. Aggregated reports may remain longer.

Google acts as a processor; Google LLC and subprocessors may also receive data. Processing outside the EEA, especially in the USA, is possible. Transfers to appropriately certified US recipients may rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Google's processing terms additionally provide standard contractual clauses and safeguards.
