PvP involves more than topping a damage chart. The planned comparisons will also consider crowd control, mobility and class synergy. Each ranking will specify the PvP format it covers.

A good race choice depends on your class and goals. We plan separate raid and PvP recommendations, with the relevant racial abilities and suitable specialisations for each.

How to read the rankings
A defined data snapshot
Each tier list will state the game version, assessment period and gear assumptions. Talent or ability changes may alter the order.
A comparison for each activity
Raid and PvP will be assessed separately. Recommendations will specify when an encounter, PvP format or team composition is a deciding factor.
Reasons, not just letters
Each recommendation will include strengths, weaknesses and alternatives. A lower placement does not mean a class cannot be played successfully.

Are any rankings available yet?
Not yet. This page introduces the planned comparisons. Classes, specialisations and races will receive placements only after the assessment.
Is there one best class for everything?
One ranking covering every role would not be very useful. We are preparing separate comparisons for raid tanks, raid DPS, raid healers, PvP DPS and PvP healers.
Where can I plan a build now?
Use the talent calculator links in the class cards to allocate talents and share your build by link. The calculators do not yet provide a ranking for a particular raid or PvP format.
