Getting started
Do I need another subscription?
No. Launch access is included with a WoW subscription or game time. Optional upgrade packs are sold separately.
When does the beta begin?
Blizzard gives September 17, 2026 as the start date. Beta access is included with the Skyborne Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection.
What is the level cap?
The initial journey reaches level 60. Forever is announced as an ongoing version alongside modern WoW and Classic.
Your character
Will WoW Forever have a barbershop?
A barbershop has already been found in the BlizzCon demo. Warcraft Tavern shares footage and identifies Dalaran as its location. This is a look at the demo; the full range of locations and customization options at launch is still unclear.
Are Skyborne included with standard access?
Blizzard lists the new race and its starting zone as benefits of the Skyborne Heroic Pack and higher packs.
What is changing about the graphics in WoW Forever?
Blizzard has announced Classic and modern visual presets and SD and HD character models for Forever. Classic animations for HD models are also planned. The refreshed look is presented as a choice.

World & travel
Is there a boat from Stormwind to Auberdine?
Yes. Blizzard announces a new connection from Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine, providing an early crossing between the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. The recap does not specify docks or departure times.
Which other ports are being connected?
Blizzard also names a route involving Menethil, Southshore and Auberdine. The exact order of stops and a full timetable are not specified.
Is there a new boat route from Tanaris to Riverglades?
Yes. Another announced route leads from the Steamwheedle Cartel in Tanaris toward Riverglades. This new zone is intended for mid-level characters and offers quests for both Horde and Alliance.
Will there be flying mounts?
Blizzard’s What’s Next recap says there will be no flying mounts. Travel remains part of exploration.
Playing together
Do I have to choose a server?
Rulesets replace the realm list: Normal, PvP and Roleplaying. Hardcore is planned after launch.
Can friends group across rulesets or factions?
Groups require the same ruleset and faction. Cross-ruleset grouping is not supported.
Can I meet players who speak my language?
An announced language preference is intended to help players encounter others sharing their preferred language.
Progression & Legacy
What is the Legacy system?
Challenges earn shared Legacy Points for alts. Each character allocates them separately, with up to 16 spendable at launch.
Will enemies automatically scale to my level?
Blizzard explicitly says there will be no level scaling. The world is meant to retain its challenges while leveling.
