Arms

Melee damage

You fight with a two-handed weapon and choose where to spend your Rage. Watch for Overpower opportunities, but keep enough control of the fight to land your interrupts.

Keep your attacks going with Bloodthirst and your weapons. Watch your Rage so that spending it now does not leave you short for the next important attack.

Tank

You decide where the enemies stand and keep them away from your group. Secure threat and prepare for heavy hits before looking for extra damage.

Holy

Healing

Keep your tank alive and help the group with blessings, cleansing and healing. Timing matters: removing a dangerous effect promptly can save several healing casts.

Gather enemies, hold them with Holy threat and use your shield to take their hits. Watch your Mana too, so you can safely pick up the next group.

Retribution

Melee damage

Deal melee damage with seals and Judgements, while keeping an eye on your allies. A timely blessing can be worth delaying your next attack.

Ranged damage

Your pet fights with you, not just beside you. Send it to the right target and line up your shots with its attacks.

Marksmanship

Ranged damage

Your strongest shots need a chance to land. Choose your position early and support the group with your aura.

Survival

Ranged damage

Set up the fight with traps and keep enemies at a distance. If they reach you, use the tools that let you answer in melee.

Assassination

Melee damage

Put a single target under pressure with daggers and poisons. Build towards a useful finishing move instead of throwing away Combo Points through unnecessary switches.

Combat

Melee damage

Rely on steady weapon damage and use Blade Flurry when suitable enemies are together. Keep an eye on everything your attacks will hit.

Subtlety

Choose how the fight starts from Stealth. Use your opener, control and retreat tools to create the next opportunity.

Discipline

Healing

Shield predictable damage and use Penance to help an injured ally recover. Decide whether your target needs protection from the next hit or healing right now.

Holy

Healing

You have healing tools for different problems. First look at who needs help: one ally, several group members, or yourself as well as your target.

Shadow

Spell damage

Keep your Shadow effects running and use Mind Flay between other spells. Find a safe position from which you can also help your group.

Elemental

Spell damage

Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and well-placed totems for ranged pressure.

Enhancement

Melee damage

Combine weapon attacks with Stormstrike and make good use of Maelstrom. Sometimes the best next spell saves an ally instead of dealing more damage.

Restoration

Healing

Answer heavy hits with direct healing and use Chain Heal for several injured allies. Watch where the group stands and whether your totems are still in the right place.

Arcane

Spell damage

Build Arcane Blast stacks and use your missile procs for damage. Watch your Mana: not every enemy lives long enough to justify an expensive setup.

Fire

Spell damage

Combine your Fire spells with critical hits and prepare your next Pyroblast. Choose a position that lets you make use of the opportunity.

Frost

Spell damage

Keep enemies at a distance and use the opportunities your Frost spells create. Watch your allies too: a rooted enemy is not automatically harmless.

Affliction

Spell damage

Keep damage effects on your enemies and agree on curses with the group. Plan your control too, so a fleeing enemy does not bring more trouble back.

Demonology

Spell damage

Your demon brings damage and abilities you rely on. Choose it for the task and keep track of it: with Soul Link, your survival depends on it too.

Destruction

Spell damage

Use Fire and Shadow spells to deal focused damage. Plan your strong casts for a target that will survive them and that the tank already holds.

Balance

Spell damage

Deal Nature and Arcane damage, and change form when the group needs help. Think ahead if an emergency heal will require you to leave your current form.

Feral

Tank & damage

Keep your leveling pace as Cat, or tank groups in Bear Form. Choose Shifting Power for Cat or Primal Bite for Bear.

Restoration

Healing

Prepare ongoing heals before damage lands and step in when someone needs help quickly. Look ahead: who will be hit next, and who is already in danger?
