Background
Grom’gol: a base at the gateway to the jungle
The camp’s history is linked to the supply route to Stonard in the Swamp of Sorrows. Fortifications protect it from surrounding threats. This defines Grom’gol as a base from which the Horde can move through the southern Eastern Kingdoms.
Grom’gol is also a Horde transport hub. Blizzard’s Classic travel description lists it as a flight destination. It is a starting point for Zul’Gurub: travel east past Lake Nazferiti to the troll ruins.
Supplies and preparation meet in the camp. Innkeeper Thulbek, wind rider master Thysta and vendors are among its recorded services. Zeppelins to Orgrimmar and Undercity connect Grom’gol to the Horde travel network, making it a stop for travelers heading deeper into Stranglethorn Vale.
