Before you set off
Leave room in your bags and pick up flight paths along the way. The chain opens at level 14, but the journey passes stronger enemies and opposing faction guards. Accept the next quest at every stop before moving on.
1 Alliance: The first note in Westfall
... and that note you found
Find the wrecked cart at Alexston Farmstead in western Westfall. The Burned-Out Remains are at 37.41, 50.70. Click them and accept “… and that note you found”.

2 Alliance: The ruined tower in the Barrens
... and that note you found → Stepping Stones
One crossing is via Booty Bay: take its boat to Ratchet. Head to the ruined tower south of Camp Taurajo at 46.35, 73.89. Turn in the note quest at the remains or nearby Nailed Plank, then accept “Stepping Stones”. Avoid Horde guards around Camp Taurajo and the Crossroads.

2 Horde: The second note in Westfall
... and that note you found → Stepping Stones
One option is the Orgrimmar zeppelin to Grom’gol, followed by a swim north along the coast to Westfall. Keep clear of shoreline enemies. Find the remains beside the wrecked cart at Alexston Farmstead, 37.41, 50.70. Turn in the quest there or at the nearby plank and accept “Stepping Stones”. You must then return to Kalimdor for Stonetalon Mountains.

3 Stonetalon Mountains: Reach the hidden camp
Stepping Stones → Scramble
Find the narrow mountain trail northeast of Sun Rock Retreat around 50.90, 52.30. Follow the walkable trail to the tent at 40.76, 52.57. Click Pocket Litter beside the tent, turn in “Stepping Stones” and accept “Scramble”. Alliance characters should avoid Sun Rock Retreat’s guards.

4 Stonetalon Mountains: Find the mound above the camp
Scramble → Wet Job
Climb north from the tent and over the hill. The Mound of Dirt is on the ledge at 39.62, 49.86. Take care crossing the gap and do not jump down into the valley. Turn in “Scramble” and accept “Wet Job” before leaving the mountains.

5 Loch Modan: The figurine on the dam
Wet Job → Eagle's Fist
Travel to Stonewrought Dam at the north end of Loch Modan. The Carved Figurine is at 49.44, 12.87, on a narrow ledge below the upper walkway on the dam’s northern face. Drop carefully onto that ledge, not all the way into the Wetlands. Click the figurine, turn in “Wet Job” and accept “Eagle’s Fist”. Horde players should watch for Alliance guards.

Approach the wall at the Arathi Highlands border from the Hillsbrad side. Around 87.40, 49.70, a damaged cart sits by the rubble. Climb using the cart, debris and ledges. Once on top, follow the wall to the small tower room. The marker identifies the start of the climb; the destination is above you.

Your reward
The final quest awards the Cozy Sleeping Bag as a reusable item, plus five Student Fodder. In WoW Forever, Student Fodder helps restore health and resources; do not count it as stored rested experience.
Using the sleeping bag
- Use the item outside rested areas; cities and inns are unsuitable.
- Stand still on the deployed sleeping bag. Your character lies down automatically; you do not need to click the bag again.
- Each full minute grants 1% extra experience. Wait three minutes for all three stacks, then check your buff before setting off.
- Party members can use your deployed bag too. The item has a one-hour cooldown; the remaining buff duration is shown in game.

Where does the Cozy Sleeping Bag quest start?
The chain starts at level 14. Alliance begins at the Burned-Out Remains in Westfall (37.41, 50.70); Horde begins in the Barrens (46.35, 73.89). Visit the other location next. Both routes join at the hidden camp in Stonetalon Mountains.
How do you get the full sleeping bag XP boost?
Rest in the deployed bag for three minutes. Each full minute grants one stack of 1% extra experience, up to 3% total. Check for three stacks before leaving. You keep the item and can use it again after its one-hour cooldown.
Why can’t I collect the sleeping bag?
Complete the quest chain in order and check your quest log for the current task. At the final camp, turn in “Eagle’s Fist” at the Messenger Bag, accept “This Must Be The Place”, then click the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel beside it.
