WoW: Forever raises its level cap to 30
The WoW: Forever beta goes offline for several hours on 1 October. Its new build will raise the level cap from 20 to 30.

Several hours of maintenance on 1 October
Blizzard will take the World of Warcraft: Forever beta offline on the morning of Thursday, 1 October 2026, in the Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) zone. It is due to return after several hours with a new build that raises the level cap from 20 to 30.
Blizzard has not announced an exact start or finish time. The stated morning PDT window falls in the afternoon or early evening in Germany. The servers could therefore return during the German evening, but a reopening around midnight has not been confirmed.
Other additions remain unclear
As of 15:22 CEST on 1 October, Blizzard had not published a precise timetable or full patch notes. Further details are expected later in the day. For now, the only confirmed point beyond the higher level cap is that the build contains other changes and bug fixes. The development notes dated 24 September apply to the previous build and should not be attributed to this update.
The beta began on 17 September and runs up to and including 21 October. Blizzard announced its phased level 20 and level 30 caps when the test launched. Additional areas, dungeons and a new battleground are planned during the wider beta, but the current maintenance notice does not explicitly connect them to the 1 October build. Any transitional rules, including retroactive experience for completed quests, also remain unconfirmed.
