The Ashes of Crowns: Our Warcraft Series Begins

Episode 1 is here

There is a new story to follow on wowforever.gg today. The Ashes of Crowns is our illustrated Warcraft fan fiction, with an original cast, six seasons and 48 episodes.

The first episode, “The Night Everything Died”, is available now. If you would like to spend a little more time in Azeroth between your own adventures, this is where to begin.

A scout, a black ring and questions that will not go away

The story follows Lyra Nachtfeder, a scout on the Darkshore coast. A black ring draws her into the paths of people with orders to carry out, old debts to face and reasons to keep quiet. The warrior Kael Schattenklinge has a past he is particularly reluctant to discuss.

You will follow them along dangerous roads, through political intrigue and into encounters where a faction badge tells you very little about the person wearing it. Trust takes time. Decisions hurt, sometimes even the people who make them. Alongside the fighting, there is room for friendship, dry humour and the people who make it worth carrying on.

We will leave the rest for you to discover. The story unfolds one episode at a time, with illustrations accompanying the scenes.

Six seasons, eight episodes each

All 48 episodes form one continuous story. Each season contains eight episodes and carries the plot forward. Reading in order is the best way to follow it; the series overview will help you find the next episode.

Here are the opening dates for all six seasons. What happens along the way is something we would rather let you discover as you read.

New episodes on Tuesdays and Fridays

Following the opening episode on Wednesday, 4 November, episode 2 arrives on Friday, 6 November. New episodes then appear every Tuesday and Friday at 19:00 Berlin time.

You can read the series in German, English, French, Spanish and Russian. All five versions unlock together. Use the language selector to switch to the same page in another language.
